Nursing Students' Attitudes Toward Computer


Abstract
It is generally accepted that society has rapidly becoming information and that the future will be the age of information. That is in the future society, information will play more important role than natural energy energy sour(??) in both social
and
educational fields, Highly developed techniques techniques based on computer systems and communicational techniques will bring significant innovation not only to society in general but also to nursing.
This research was attempted to identify nursing students' attitudes toward computer.
The survey in this study has been composed to responses of 143 nursig students in P University. As ty research instrument for this research, measuring instruments of Strong % Brong were used after correction by our situation. The data were
collected for
the period of 1 week from April 4 to April 11, 1995. For the analytical methods of data, percentage and average points were used by means of computerized stastistcal analysis.

@EN The higher the requirements for computer education and computerization of nursing were, the more positive the attitudes toward computer were. The elements which influences nursing students' attitudes toward computer were requirements for
computerization of nursing and education level.
Considering the above results, we could conclude that the computer education of nursing students is inevitable to and lessen their anxiety on computer especially the education with hands-on experience is required. Therefore, future research is
needed in
educational program development for lessening computer anxeity and encouraged interested in computer.
